Eric Davis, Founder and VP for Youth Programs
Eric is in charge of the educational
aspects of the company. As a professional educator, he applies
his pedagogical approach and skills to the philosophy, approach,
and programs of LEADINGSCHOOL.
He also leads the business development efforts of LEADINGSCHOOL
for its youth programs.
Eric has ten years of teaching experience with 6th-12th
graders at public, charter, and private schools. He also
has fifteen years experience coaching basketball and soccer
for youth ages 5-18 at schools and camps.
During the past five years, Eric has focused his experience
on founding and directing Educational
Endeavors (EE), a company that provides provides educational
solutions for public, charter, and private schools, non-profit
organizations and individuals. Specifically, EE designs
and implements academic enrichment programs (AEP), workshops,
academic tutoring, and youth development programs.
Eric also founded and served as the director of the Camp
of Dreams, a non-profit organization, until October, 2005.
Camp of Dreams (CoD) is an emerging Chicago program devoted
to bringing uplifting, engaging, free educational programs
to young people who would otherwise go without. CoD does
this through a year-round project consisting of two complementary
components: a summer camp and a school-year program. The
project as a whole brings a wide range of activities to
its participants: Academics, Visual and Performing Arts,
Mind and Body, Health and Wellness, and Service Learning.
Eric received his B.A. in Religious Studies from Lewis and
Clark College and has done graduate work at Loyola University
of Chicago and San Diego University of Integrative Studies.
